God’s HEaling Love & Light
Reiki
And God said, “Let there be light.”
The formal definition of Reiki is: A Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. That sounds quite impressive, and we haven’t even discussed the origins of these tranquil curative properties. It is, of course, God. It could only emanate from Him. Whenever I am asked about Reiki, my response is always, “Reiki is union with God through the merging of His Light with our Light in complete acceptance and love for the benefit of all.”
God is the ultimate Light, and we are made in His likeness. Fundamentally, this makes us all beings of Light – His Light. I am a Lightworker, which means I use The Almighty’s Light to help others. It is an honor to be called to provide this essential gift for my loved ones and all of God’s people. A Lightworker is anyone who perpetuates and expands Divine Light. This can be accomplished by kindness, truth, love, authenticity, and healing. Lightworkers are peacemakers, teachers, and healers.
Reiki works on an energetic level. We are energy. All of life has energy – every animal and plant, the air we breathe, water, and even inanimate objects. It has been scientifically proven that everything is made up of atoms, which truly are the foundation of the whole universe. Nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide are the major atomic components of air. One cannot see any of these with the unaided eye, and yet they exist. Every atom moves due to smaller units in their orbital field called electrons. This motion causes them to vibrate. The whole universe buzzes with vibration and energy from the vivacious plummeting waterfall to the idle rock that only appears still. There are many different manifestations of energy. You are alive with the heartbeat of all that is. Our wonderful Creator has thought of everything.
As a Registered Nurse and a Reiki Master/Teacher, I understand the dynamic systems of the physical form and the ethereal functions of the human energy body. Lightworkers/Reiki practitioners serve as a channel for God to illuminate the world, and shift and release energy. Clearly, God does not need us to partake in any of His feats to ensure success, but He stands blissfully triumphant that we would choose to assist Him in fulfillment of His Will.
Although Reiki is very spiritual, it is not a religion. There is no dogma involved. Anyone can practice or receive it. Reiki is like a fully charged prayer with gentle yet powerful healing energies designed to uplift and transform by the laying on of hands.
Jesus is the Light of the world and the paramount HEaler. Therefore, Reiki must be under His guidance. He passed along His miraculous HEaling abilities to His Apostles.
In Luke 9:1-2, 6, “He summoned the twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure disease. Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.”
Jesus tells everyone in John 14-12, “I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these.”
In many cases, Jesus laid His hands on those He cured. In Luke 4:40, “At sunset, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to him. He laid his hands on each of them and cured them.”
Ancient Catholic prayer of praise, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, now and forever.” Amen.
